Jiffry Yoonoos, Sri Lanka:
A co-foundor of the
Cartoonists Releif Network, Sri Lankan cartoonist Yoonoos was
badly beaten by the palace "Goon Squad" after a series
of cartoons featuring the "Big Man" himself, President
Primadasa. IN this one, the soldier tells the President who's
on a field visit to the troops that it's safe for hium to visit,
they have already cleared any mines. Of course we see the price
the soldier paid for his mine clearning services. |

In this one, the President is hiding in the woods. The man on
the street is asking him why isn't he in Colombo, where there
is a big funeral of a very great man going on. The man had been
assassinated, and most of the public believed that the President
himself was behind the killing.
