Former House Judiciary Chairman, Terrance Tom:

Terrance Tom, casts the deciding vote defending the Bishop Estate trustees' huge salaries. Tom is paid a $4,000 monthly retainer by the Estate. Public outcry causes the vote to be reversed, limiting trustee salaries to a "reasonable level."

Terrance Tom's buddy, House Speaker, Joe Souki, joins in the Bishop Estate gravy train as it is revealed that he collected a $ 150,000 comission for consultation services on the Estate's purchase of Maui land. This revelation came after Souki pressed the legislature to reject a bill limiting the million dollar salaries of Bishop Estate trustees.

Our buddy, Terrance Tom, the blind chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, pushes a bill which is designed to undercut the fundraising of the Republican gubernatorial candidate, Linda Lingle; this happened soon after the University of Hawaii at Manoa announced that no one would be able to see home plate from the seats at their brand new stadium.
